New York Chooses Britannica for Statewide E-Resources
February 6, 2017
Britannica Digital Learning announced that, in an agreement with the New York State Library, its e-resources are to be included in the NOVELNY (New York Online Virtual Electronic Library) statewide collection from July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2020.
Selected because of the quality and breadth of its resources, Encyclopædia Britannica’s products are made freely available to New Yorkers via NOVELNY, an online virtual library connecting New Yorkers to 21st-century information via libraries and library systems statewide.
Beginning July 1, 2017, the following Britannica databases will be freely available to over 5,900 public, school, academic, and special libraries currently registered for NOVELNY and to individuals who are residents of New York state that visit www.novelnewyork.org:
“We have had a great relationship with all of the public education institutions in New York over the years, and we are proud and delighted to be able to make our flagship resources available on a statewide basis—which will make it easier for everyone to access and use Britannica digital products,” said Michael Ross, Senior Vice President.
If your New York library is not registered, please see the For Librarians link on www.novelnewyork.org or contact the NOVELNY Help Desk toll-free at 877-277-0250 or in the Capital District at 518-486-6012.
